Generally, it has been my experience over the years, that with regard to Porsche part numbers, if the number is the same following the first three numerals, it was the same part -- just superseded.

Does anyone know if this holds true with the BASE Cayman brake rotors?

e.g.

2013-2016 Cayman 2.7L - 98135140101 & 98135140201

2006-2008 Cayman 2.9L - 98735140101 & 98735140201

I've seen the 987.1 rotors advertised as fitting the 981 and would like to confirm as there is a price difference.

Also -- suggestions on the best place to source rotors would be appreciated. I'll be going through quite a few I suspect...
