I'm new to this sub-forum, but a Porsche owner for a while. I've spent the better part of the last 5 years taking a 71 911 coupe from a neglected roller to a narrow body hot rod. It was always about the journey, not the destination, now I'm leaning towards selling it and buying a Cayman.

I thought there was a thread pinned here or in the 987 - 981, 718 sub-forum that was a buyers guide to the Cayman/Boxster with a description of models/changes, etc. I can't find it now, can someone point me in the right direction?

Glad it was valuable. I'm an information junkie. I want to know everything I can about the Cayman before I pull the trigger. Right now I'm leaning towards a 987.2 Base but it's a little frustrating that every thing I find has almost no options. The price jump to the S is enough to stretch my budget of $35-40K.
