Just wondering if I can do it with the truck raised to its highest setting? Thanks!

I don't have the air suspension and can do it without jacking (although I did jack it slightly so I could visually find the second drain plug). Should be easily doable on highest setting.

I found that if I drove the front wheels onto a 2x10 or 2x12 (12" piece for each side), then raised the car to max height, it was just fine to change the oil, and gave me plenty of room without feeling crowded

It is very easy with it set to "special terrain" height. If you have PDCC, it is more involved to get to the filter, (and messy) but completely doable. Remember, there is only ONE drain plug on the 4.8!

Avec, thank you for that information.

Also, thank you, TomF! Everywhere I read they say there are TWO drain plugs! So there is only ONE? What is everyone talking about?

I can change on my 2015 just by raising air suspension.

There are two on the 955. The 957 has only one. There is an adequate DIY here:http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...Oil_Change.htm

Maybe I am being over cautious here. I have worked on my Cayennes by raising them using the air suspension. Most involved job I did was replacing the air-suspension compressor.

In all cases I have put axel stands under the car at lift points just in case. Mainly because Darwin Awards.

The 4.5 in the 03-06 (955) has 2 drain plugs. The oil pan (sump) goes over the front axle and has a "hump" in it. If you only drain one, there is a fair amount of old oil left.

The 4.8 in the 08-10 (957) has only one drain plug.

My 958 has air suspension and I raise it to max up and can easily change the oil at that point from underneath. Yes, I use a couple jack stands as a safety precaution too.

I have been crawling under the car with the suspension set at max and the setting "locked", but holy crap, I should have added some jack stands too.

I won't be doing that again.
