My phone was still in my luggage so I didn't have a chance to take a picture, when we were deplaning at the airport on St Kitts one of the local hotels was using Cayenne diesels as airport shuttles. White/black color and what looked to be basic trim level. Beats the usual clapped-out island vehicles, eh?

Base model Cayennes are also used as airport shuttles at the W hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.

the hotels rates will reflect it but good for them going to a higher end service ,it would be interesting to see how they stand up against the usual made in japan vehicles . we have been to many island excursions and the equipment does get a workout......extreme heat/salt environment/different drivers/indifferent riders/finding a good maintenance provider [EVERYTHING is shipped in]

Depends on the distance to the airport. A lot of short trips all day long every day might become problematic over time with a diesel.
