Default Great 955 TPMS value

If anyone needs to get TPMS sensors or replace your old ones, i've ordered 3 sets of the OroTek brand on eBay, model number OBE005 for about $15/each (so $60 a set of four, free shipping) and they work great! Preprogrammed, just need to be installed, system will learn the sensors in a few miles. I have an 06 955 Turbo S, but should be good with all 955/957's. No need to spend a fortune!

I don't know if my 2006 CTT ever had it. Will they be detected and paired if I install TPMS sensors?

Not if its not equipped with it. Apparently it was an option. Does your car read "No monitoring" when you first start it up? If so its turned off in your dash menu options. Get the sensors, turn it on via the menu options and you're good.

If not, then it won't work...

Are all TPMS sensors compatible with every car brand (I would think so, would be stupid and expensive to make many different types that are incompatible, but the auto industry does a lot of stupid stuff)?

No, different brands use different frequencies on which the sensors communicate with the control receiver. I think the 955 & 957 Cayennes use the 233 MHz frequency, but double-check before buying anything.

Just had a set of these installed in my winter wheels. Unfortunately the tire shop is really close to my office, so they hadn't learned the system by the time I got back to work.

Hopefully on the drive home they'll initialize and start reading...

Is there any significant meaning to the column that has everything identified as "D"?

Thanks for posting the chart!

ID format (DEC/HEX); Assume D = Decimal. Don't see any significance.

Took about 6-7 miles for them to register but they're working now.

Thanks for the link!

I have never figured out what it takes for the units to register. Sometimes it happens within the first mile, sometime takes longer.

I switch from summers to winters and back every year, different behavior every time.

Up to what size wheels with these work for? I have a 06 CTT with 22's but not sure of they work for wheels that size?

I've used them with 2 sets of 22's and they worked fine
