Just saying hello. Only had it for two days and love it.
I have owned 1983 944, 1987 944, and 1994 968. Well aware or Porsche engineering, so I have a small fund set aside for whatever comes up. So far I have enjoyed reading lots of post on Rennlist.

Congrats and welcome!

You've found what is likely the most knowledgeable and friendly site for these cars.

Pipes done?

Default Pipes

Wisconsin Joe
I'm heading to stealership this week for maintenance records. Hopefully they were done, if not I'm in the right place for diy.

Just read through "Plastic or Aluminum coolant pipes, how to tell w/o intake removal"
I was able to take a photo and confirmed my P!G has the aluminum pipes. One less thing to worry about. Very happy

Good to hear (as much that you know for sure as having them already fixed).

Very nice. Air suspension or springs? It looks like it's sitting a little high as if air suspension on comfort mode. Enjoy in good health

Congrats, do a LED tail lite upgrade asap for looks and safety. Just did mine for $250 wish I did it years ago!

Chaos, thanks and LED tail lites on the ever expanding list.
Tkrtape12, thanks
Dasams, I have springs and your right it does look high. I don't mind, makes it easier to get in and out of(bad back)

I stop by Porsche dealer on my way through Plano. 3 different service advisors tried to print the service records for me, but they couldn't get the printers to work. I did confirm the pipes had been changed and the cardon bearing was changed. Every service up to date except the fluids in the power train, exstimate to change $2400. That's a quarter of what I paid the vehicle.

Very nice! I like the W140 in the background too.

What fluid in the power train cost $2400 to change?

Wow, you got a deal! I feel gipped now for paying $11,300 for my '06 CS Ti!

She looks good though. Much like mine.

Dan, we love our W140, bought it in 07 with 52,000 miles on her and currently have 170,500 miles. Very dependable.
Porsche dealer said $250 per transaxle, 1,400 for transmission and $500 for transfer case. I'll do it myself next month.
Tjrob2000, yep I got a great deal on my CS. Have any pictures of your CS T?

I have always lusted after a 600SEL and found a nice one on craigslist a few years back but never pulled the trigger. Kinda wish I did, as nice ones are few and far between.

Those service prices the dealer quoted are beyond laughable. I know there called "stealers" but that is beyond delusional.
