Default Oil Filters for 955

I need an oil change yesterday. Trying a new indy that's fine with me saving a few and bringing the parts. Got him doing a tranny service on the wife's GL next week as well. So I'm looking at local availability on filters and all I can find without driving 30 miles is STP. From the pics on the Autozone web site they don't even look to have the same profile as the Fram, smaller. STP okay or not, anyone know? I need anything else besides the filter and 10 quarts of M1 0w40?

Also, topping 100k miles, starting to think maybe changing the oil more frequently now. What's the general consensus? Every 5k miles? Been doing every 10k but I think I may just keep this TTS forever.

Unless you're going to the Porsche dealer, I would just get them online from an OEM supplier. ECS and Pelican both ship fast. If you're at 10K miles, your oil is already toast. Another few days won't hurt anything.

Personally, I think M1 0W40 run at 10k miles is way too long. But, that horse has been beat to death in many other threads.

I agree, I wouldn't push Mobil1 past 7K if you plan on keeping it. Stay away from Fram. Napa usually has or can get a filter in one day that will actually be a German filter in a Napa box but if you have the time then as wrinkledpants said, get a couple of them from one of the sponsor here for a reasonable price.

I'm closer to about 8,000 this time. I was doing 10000, but last change was around 92k and now just past 100k. I can dial it back to 5-6k moving forward. Since I'm adding a quart every 1000 miles or so as well, hopefully I haven't been too hard on her. Will try to get it done today.

Bookmarked for the future, thanks. Sure I'll need plenty of parts in the years to come. Oil change is done though.

I buy the NAPA Gold oil filters, have done a great job. I change mine at every 6000 miles and filter is saturated but in no way ready to come apart. I'm on my 6th filter of these and very happy. Best part is I caught them on sale this spring for $10 each from NAPA.
