How much louder is a cat-bypass?
To those of you who have a secondary cat bypass, primary cat delete, or both, how much louder does your cayenne sound than stock?
Mostly inquiring about 955 v8's, but would like to know if you think getting a cat bypass is truly worth it or not (in terms of exhaust sound), and does it ever "crackle" or "pop" after getting this?
If you have any audio or clips of your cayenne with a bypass, it would be much appreciated if you'd share. Thanks!

I just have the secondary bypass. Not too terribly louder. I would say approx 10% from the inside and 20% under full throttle from outside. For sure though more grunt and a better sound. You can really tell on cold startup.

I was concerned about how loud it would be before swapping my secondaries but its still pretty tame (and I got the louder 3" variants), if I`m being honest I`d like it a little louder

It's just the right amount of sound change. Virtually imperceptible inside with the windows up and cruising along. Under hard acceleration you can hear enough of a difference to make it worth it. From the outside it makes the vehicle sound like it's looks and badge suggest. This was all I could do on ours as our 957 TTS is our family trip car and needs to remain enjoyable and quiet on long trips with the wife and kids. I have the Fabspeeds.

If you have a 958 with the OEM sport exhaust option the Fabspeed bypass pipes turn the exhaust into virtual sound machine with the exhaust button depressed. Not for the faint of heart

I pulled the secondary cats off my 04 CTT in 2004 and put on the Fabspeed bypass pipes (very big PITA). Yeah it was a bit louder but not what I wanted. Next I bought a used Cargraphic muffler from a fellow RL'er whose wife made him remove it as it was too loud. Honestly it is freakin' awesome! Nice and loud without a lot of cabin resonance. I to this day...10+ years later, receive about one or two compliments a month on the sound of the vehicle.

And I will add the reason the cat bypass pipes were so hard to install was because Porsche put one of the nuts in a location that was darn near impossible to reach. Not a Fabspeed issue.

Any of you guys run into problems with the visual inspection during emission testing?
Around here they have a mirror on wheels they use to look under the car but most of the time they appear to just be going through the motions. The employees are not the brightest so I'm thinking it might be possible to get away with it as long as the SUV itself isn't reporting any high readings.
