M1 0W40 to Shell T6. If you're under warranty, don't use T6, but find any other oil on the approval list other than M1. My oil reports put the M1 firmly in the 0W30 weigh range after a few K miles, which is way too thin given that the manual specs 40 weight as the min, and 50 weight as the max.

oil consumption
08 CTT. I use a quart every 5000-6000 miles. Average mpg is 15.0 for fuel. The car has 128,000 miles and mine since new. Very good car overall although I have replaced alt, starter, coolant manifold, cardan shaft and brakes several times.

Unfortunately too many Porsche owners just accept this BS and don't force Porsche to fix it. How the hell are you people going to know there is something seriously wrong going on?

Until you get a UOA on what you're running, you won't know. Many people just accept that M1 0W40 is a good oil. For many cars, it's great. For the Cayenne that needs either a 40 or 50 weigh oil, it's way too thin.
Switch to Motul. It's on the approval list, highly respected, and I bet your consumption goes way down.
