Cayenne 958/92A Xenon Upgrade
Apologies if this has already been covered, I did try the search but didn't find any previous results.
I've just purchased some complete xenon headlight units for my 2011 cayenne (which had halogens from factory).
I tried installing them and I get an error message (problem with dipped headlights) and the lights flicker. Seem to remember that the xenons draw less power than halogens, but wasn't sure if this requires coding or maybe just a relay/capacitor between the car's headlight plug and the socket on the headlight itself ?

There is much more to the Xenon option than just the headlights. There is wiring changes as well as front & rear Level sensors (All Xenon equipped vehicles are required to have these (OEM)), and the computer that controls the signal from the sensors to let the motors in the headlights adjust the beam heights.
You can do an aftermarket Xenon conversion but it will never be the same as OEM for the reasons stated above. Sorry.

Xenons draw a little more at startup but then taper down quickly to about 35watts per light compared to 55w~60w per Halogen low/high beams and of course they put out more lumens than Halogen.
