Default Key Fob Replacement

Has anyone tried buying the key fob shell on eBay and then transferred the internal electronics over?

Yes - it's a 2 min job. Maybe 3 or 4 if beer is involved. Make sure you transfer all of the metal parts from your old key and use super glue to keep the two halfs together.

Great. Glad I ordered it. Both of my keys have just about fallen apart. The Porsche emblem is long gone!

I've got one but haven't used it. Looked great in the eBay photos but I'm underwhelmed with the quality, feel, and especially the emblem compared to the OEM fob. Dang it, once again I got what I paid for.
