Default Best way to black-out the silver trim?

On my 955t. Would look way better IMO if the silver along the windows, bottom of doors, and rear window was gloss black. Has anyone gotten the silver parts of the door handles blacked out?

Don't you think black would look better on my 955?

I used PlastiDip on my trim. The pillars that the doors' rubber gasket touched looked like hell, though, so I ended up wrapping them in 3M DiNoc vinyl, which looks great and has held up wonderfully.

That looks really good. How did you apply the plastidip? I'm guessing clean well (rubbing alcohol?), dry, then mask off the area with like note cards and spray 2-3 coats?

Did you do your wheels or is that the way they came. I just ordered a S. Everything will be black from the factory except for the wheels. I thinking of Plasti Dipping them. Wond how long they will hold up or have to be redone.

I assume you're asking Rob, but in the off chance you are asking me, I bought mine that way.

No, the wheels are powdercoated gunmetal by a local shop. I threw some 275/45/20's on too while I was at it.

I taped up the windows/doors/etc for the PlastiDip. If you're not familiar with PlastiDip, and the best way to apply, a quick YouTube search will uncover the tips and tricks!

Bumping my old thread as I have this same question still for my new 957.

How much did that vinyl cost? Local shop quoted me 1200.

I needed some paintwork done. So I painted the door handles and the door trim from the silver to body colour white. The window surrounds i wrapped matte black. Very happy with the outcome.

I just got done doing the carbon fiber "look" vinyl on my chrome trim. I wish the GTS bits would be more standard in the turbos....

Before = Lets go shopping for some shoes.
After = Lets go to the track....

Agree?

Both of those look awesome

How do you remove the silver? I'm guessing it requires a LOT of interior paneling removal?
