$1211.89 I'll take it. I expected nothing.

Default Settlement Received

I just got my settlement check and I think I officially hate attorney's. I submitted a claim for over $1850, which was the cost of the coolant pipe replacement. When filling out the claim form I was given the impression that the full cost of the replacement was going to be covered. I got check for less that $350.00.

I guess it's better than nothing...

On behalf of attorneys everywhere I suggest if you feel you understood the rules and followed them yet got shorted you should follow the instructions that came with the check and write a letter to the Settlement Administrator.

I'd send it certified mail, return receipt requested. I'd probably also copy one or more of the plaintiffs' class attorneys, identifiable on the website, also using certified mail, return receipt requested.

There seems to be a lack of consistencey with the reimbursement.

Submitted my claim on a 2004 CS with 60K mi. I was the 2nd owner but sold it before filing the claim.
An Indy shop replaced the pipes as a precaution, I supplied the parts. Their invoice included replacing the tubes, water pump and a 60K mi service.

Shocked to receive a check for 424.39... expected zilch.

you guys are lucky you could file for anything, I had to pay 3k to get the transfer case seal replaced, which was damaged because of the pipes.

I did the pipes myself and only had to pay for the parts, around $500. Received my check today, $106. Oh, well. At least the Attorneys made some cash $$.

So did P blame it on the vendor who assembled the water distributor? This is not a design fault like the coolant tubes. Careless production process?

I received $450. I replaced my pipes proactively for $1,863.69 at my Porsche dealer. I wasn't really expecting anything, so I was happy to get something back.
