I just wanted to give a final update to this thread. After 5 years it was time to say goodbye to our 2006 Cayenne Turbo S
She will be dearly missed. Never let us down, always plenty of power - nearly the perfect vehicle for us.
Purchased 2/2013 - 108k
Sold 3/2018 - 157k
We've replaced her with a CPO 2014 Cayenne Turbo S. The decision was pretty easy - our 06 was coming up in age/miles and I really wanted my wife to have a newer/warrantied vehicle. To be 100% honest, we both liked the older body and interior better (layout) but we are warming up to the new one. As my previous updated suggested, we still did not have any major component issues beyond the shaft and coolant pipes. She went to a good home - my mechanic - who will take fantastic care of her.
With the mods, the 2006 is faster, more brutal than the 2014. I will miss all the amazing sounds the EVOM kits brought to the Cayenne and watching the boost gauge max out at over 1 BAR.
Here are some pictures of the two next to each other...

Thanks! Yes, red would not have been our first choice - I really wanted silver again. It seems most Turbo S were ordered in black. CPO'd there were only 3 at the time, 2 red, one white. The white had a tan interior which I cannot have. We are really warming up to the color.
