Porsche to Present the Cayenne To US Dealers..
The US dealer body will see the Cayenne in person on 5 February and then the new Porsche will be showing up in Auto Shows around the US. We expect to see our first delivery of 7 V8 and 1 V8 Bi-Turbo models in November 2002.

Thanks for the "official word"! If you can give us some insight...
- is your allocation pre-sold?
- are you getting all the cars you need to fill advance orders?
- what is the msrp range from entry-stripper to full-boat loaded?
HNY & Best of Luck in '02 (& thanks for supporting Rennlist).

Your questions are good ones and I am working to secure the correct answer to pricing very soon.
I do know we will receive 7 V8 and 1 Turbo model in November 2002 and the same number in December. The rest is unknown.
No we do not have all of the V8 models sold but will be very short on Turbos. We do have all of Nov. sold just not December.

Thanks for the straight-forward response, and providing us an "insiders view". If the economy is improved by the middle / late '02 (or at least no worse), I predict you will be sold out of your allocations through Feb. or March of '03, w/ a moderately strong sellers market through mid-year at least.
One advantage Porsche has in the SUV market, by being so late to enter, you will pick up sales from those who have tried them all and haven't found the "right one" yet, plus those who have owned nice ones (like the X5 or AMG) and are ready for a change on their 2nd or 3rd round.
