Default Compass function on '06 CTT

I don't have the compass in my instrument panel. Is this something that is there but needs to be activated ? The vehicle has many options but this is missing , just wondering. I did a search but couldn't find any info.

You cannot simply code it in, I tried to do that a while ago, there are multiple modules to add, not worth the money IMHO

There's MONEY involved huh ??

So it isn't as simple as turning the function to on ?

I'll sell you my compass, I don't use it. I didn't know it was an option.

I do not want to throw a wrench in the works of this thread ... but:

I have a 2005 CTT. I wanted to get blue tooth, but there was no phone buttons on my factory head unit. I decided to get a the next year's model that had the phone buttons. I bought a used one on ebay with the buttons, and just plugged it in. It worked perfectly ... the added bonus was that I saw a compass displayed next to my speedo. So i definitely do not have the compass option, and I never did anything but plug in the new head unit. I read that there is a compass sensor under the seat etc., but I do not have the option. I did not have a compass with old head unit, and I did not add the under the seat compass sensor. The compass works perfectly!
