Default Hello Rennlist!!! Soon to be a Cayenne Owner

Hi All,

just wanted to say hi, since I'll be on here quite a bit for a while. I'm pretty excited that in a weeks time I'll be picking up my 03 Cayenne S. pending inspection. but going through the service history, I'm sure there's not going to be much wrong with it.

here's a photo of it

I'm picking it up for $20k and it has 114k kms (~71k miles).

we've been looking for one for a while, and this is the cheapest one with decent amount of mileage.

first thing I'll get is rims, since the rims that comes with it now has winters tires.

any suggestion what I should be careful with, or any comments if I paid too much. all comments are welcome.

Congratulations
Might I suggest reading the sticky threads at the top of the forum?

Some terms you need to familiarize yourself with...

Cardan shaft
Coils
Coolant tubes
Rear window microswitch (all 3 revisions)
Aquarium under your rear spoiler
Aquarium inspired horns
Range (or lack thereof) on your remote control
Self ejecting stainless steel trim
Stainless steel trim that rusts ... And stains
Headlight condensation and maxi pads
ECU updates
TCU updates and valve body replacement
Throttle hesitation
Climate control unit
Comfort control unit updates
Federally mandated A506 recall (Cowboy Belt Buckles)
Wheel alignment (the latest, 2 different revisions)
Fuel pump and gas cap seal

And last but not least

I'll look for it.

Meanwhile, I jumped off of the second highest one a few times earlier today, missing the concrete VERY narrowly

OP, Congratulations!

Pops keep practicing, you know that you can't rely on the automated "drive me off the cliff" function of your P!g..

And that would be the Please Save Me (PSM) button on the dash, correct?

Trying to think back to the last person to purchase a naked alpha ... Can't recall his name, but it was a lovely memorial service.

I am glad they went with the closed casket.

On the bright side, that is one RARE p!g! Thought all Alphas self-destructed long ago.

$20k?! Maybe these things do appreciate. Didn't even think my 06 was worth that. Hmmm interesting.

There is a limit bas to how many alphas and betas the Russians could import...

20k for a naked alpha seems like a high price IMHO

I thought it had something to do with the age of the vehicle (I.e. Has to be under 8 yrs old). Not for sure...friend had some Russians look at his x5 once to export to Russia and that's what they said...were real interested in the production date. I'm thinking maybe 03 is too old to export now. Could be wrong. Just amazed there are still 03s around.
