I must be.
The trip didn't go well. The Volvo decided to give up the ghost just before the tunnel on I-70. Lots of smoke... we pulled over and the smoke was followed by a loud "thud" from under the hood. As I walked towards the car to ask my son what happened, I saw all the oil and most of the coolant empty out onto the ground.
This hasn't been a good travel weekend. We've lost two cars in two days! At least the Cayenne will be repaired, and the Allroad is running great! I'm actually not sure what to do with the Volvo. It's sitting on the side of I-70 right now. I guess I'll have it towed home so that my son can remove the stereo (which is worth more than the car) and then I'll sell it to a junk yard.

Well, the fireworks in Breck were great! The Cayenne is in the shop, and I'm headed off to meet the tow truck to get the Volvo. And - we just got a call and somebody found my wife's purse on the side of I-25. I'm not sure how it got there... either she left it on the top of the car, or maybe the nephew (who yacked in the backseat earlier in the day) threw it out the window. In any case, things are starting to look up.

Just heard from the mechanic. It was the primary fuel pump, as suspected. It is being replaced and will be ready tomorrow afternoon. I'm just happy we caught this before we ended up stranded somewhere... like the middle of an intersection.
