My wife came home from a trip today, car has been sitting for about a week. It's an 04' Cayenne Turbo; and she mentioned a soft beeping. I confirmed this as I pulled the car out of the garage. A soft warning like "beeping" sound for about 3 seconds three short beeps and then nothing.

Wife said she could be driving, turning, anything and it happens. For me it was just in reverse but then for another 10 miles nothing. I have a suspicion that it's the satellite radio unit mounted in the ashtray, but figured I would ask after a search turned up nothing.

I'm scheduling a service appointment for a few other items and if this is something significant I'll ask them to check this as well.

I have no warning lights, no indications of anything wrong on any screen btw.

AFAIK, there is nothing in the OEM infotainment system that would do that ...

Thanks guys, I'm going to take it to the store today with the satellite radio unplugged and see if that's it. I don't drive very often so it's not always easy for me to diagnose things. My poor 911 has gone about 100 miles in last three years as an indicator.

I feel like an idiot, it was the Sirius unit. In my car it's mounted inside the ash tray in a covert manner. Anyway it was beeping to tell me there was a important sporting event happening.

I had this feature turned off some time ago, but I guess when the battery went low after sitting for so many months it reset the satellite unit.
