Default 955 to 957 conversion...look at what this guy did

I believe in personalizing your car but check out this 955 to 957 "gold turbo S"....

I would say this is poser?

I know its America, his money, and all but......if its a stretched out fiero with a Lambo kit........where do you draw the line?

How do you feel about the creative versus knock off argument?

I would rather buy a high mileage CTT or CTTS, have the dealer do a full service update and debadge it, down grade the wheels and make it into a "sleeper shark" SUV. If youre looking to save money thats my idea....not the new body and badges route.........

Well I've been working on this project for nearly 5 months. It was big pain, but the end results are just stunning IMO.

My car was a standart 04 CTT, with 18" rims and without aerokit. It was bone stock.

I get the Rinspeed x-treme kit, 22" Rinspeed wheels with 285/35/22 tires, I painted the engine bay, brake calipers, rear insignias and interior aluminium trims to porsche yellow and the engine block to gunmetal.

I took out the secondary cats and and put a valve system exhaust with turbo s tail pipes. And got the K&N filters and the sprint booster. (amazing !)

So now, before and after

I think it actually looks great, but I'm a mods / tuner type of guy when it comes to my Pcars. I'd lose the RUF logo on non-Ruf parts and remove the S from the rear since it's not an S, but overall, think the updated look is great. It's why I bought a 957 TTS with the plans to do a widebody kit on it from the beginning, which I'm currently in the midst of. My build thread is here - https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...s-project.html

Not usually a fan of body kits, but this one isn't too bad. Noticeably different, but not garish like most are (maybe the black helps).

I agree with others in that thread that it should be debaged entirely, but whatever.

This is actually my favorite body kit. Not too flashy.

Pointless to make the CTT a sleeper when any modern dual-clutch hot hatch will pull its pants down from a stoplight.. (I know because I drive a CTT).

I think it looks fine, but for 24k he could have sold his car and got a nice turbo S from 08 or so.

personally I would definetely do this setup if i would intend to keep the car for a longer time, for example in my country cayennes up to 2005 have much lower yearly taxes than the newer ones so in 3 years probably due to taxes the upgrade would pay out not to mention the much lower starting price of the 955 cays compared to 957

love the 957 look

I really like the way it looks but agree with de-badging it. That being said, I would not purchase a used Cayenne this heavily modified.
