Thanks and no problem at all. Unfortunately, it is not an error- it says at the bottom of the screen, "No CD Changer installed"

Previously, I got an error. This is different.

I probably have to go back to the dealer a third time and get them to re-code everything back to normal. I don't mind the error, but it didn't even function with the error.

Thoughts?

Best,
Tom

I have a 04 CTT with PCM 2 with CDC option but no CDC per message in the PCM. I checked the trunk and could not tell which box is what.
I am thinking about installing Mobridge. will it work since I don't have the power source for the Mobridge. Do I have to put the Mobridge in the trunk or wherever easy to access to the back of the PCM unit? any ideas.

If you don't have a CDC (standard on 04 CTT) its already been removed. Check by opening the rear right compartment door in the trunk the CDC is high in the opening with a sliding door on it.

You don't say where you are located so if outside of US I could be wrong.

You can mount the MoBridge unit behind the carpet passenger side high up, running fiber cable up and behind the PCM and then ipod cable along the tunnel to a location in the center console.

switched power is available at both left and right fuse box locations

Thanks Mike. After reading more on this PCM and Mobridge topic I am thinking about getting MOST A2010. However, since I know I don't have CDC for sure I want to plug the unit right into PCM head unit so
1- Do I need to have a switch or I get direct power from the PCM head unit?
2- How do I find out which plug in the back of the head unit is for CDC? I saw there are 4 squares plugs: yellow, blue, brown and black. If no one knows, I may have to find out which one controls what.
3- I still have to bring the car to the dealer to turn off CDC option via PIWIS, right?

Power should still be back there.
there is none, its the fiber loop
if you get the error right

Mounting in the back - Make sure you want this, the Mic input cable may not be long enough to get the front

I only want the ipod option so I go with A2010. No need to run a mic.
Base on your info, there is no way I can plug it directly to the head unit. I have to utilize the fiber loop in the back, right? I have to look for that loop in the back then. I hope I did not miss anything in the back last time I checked. did not see any cable at all. Only saw one small silver box in vertical position, two brackets which I assumed held the CDC previously.
Can you tell me what the fiber loop looks like?
Really appreciate your input and help.

Anthony.

The fiber is orange/ red in color , thick looking but very delicate wire. The fiber loop is a black connector

Give the parts you get I still contend mounting in the front and tapping into the PCM fiber connector is easiest
