Thanks for posting this -- I have had mine replaced three time under warranty.
And I can tell they are getting a bit weak again.

Last weekend I tried to get the passenger side panel off to get to that small rear speaker - sounds like the cone is split.

How hard to you have to pull??

Did you use a tool to remove the panels?

Mine are really on -- I gave up -- thought I was going to snap the panel.

Did mine today, for $150 total cost. Make sure you replace with OEM Stabilus brand struts. Panel re-install is the tricky part, just take your time.
