I did buy new hoses. Getting the old ones off requires cutting the bands off them. Use a little antifreeze to help slide the new ones on.

Thanks for your help.
This is where I'm at.
Should I remove the coolant pipes to help get to those tee's?
Boy is it tight back there.

You can just remove the plastic holder and that will allow you better access and also enable you to move the looms around. I went underneath the vehicle to get to the lower hose. A cable clamp pliers are a must. While you are there get a 3/8 " T and replace the nylon one on the air or vacuum line just behind that holder. The brittle nylon will bust off and leave some in the line. I just used a pair of pliers to crush it up and put a straw in the crevice tool of the vacuum to suck out the bits. There is a little write up on this somewhere. I will look.

Here it is. You must make a donation to renntech for access. Well worth it with many good DIY tutorials.

Is that for sure mtnrat?

I`ve just bought a 2008 CTT and I`ve heard conflicting reports on the cooling pipe status - some say they're bulletproof but others say theres still a lone plastic pipe lurking in the bottom of the valley

Theres also mention that there is a pressed in/glued pipe on the water distributor that can come out - I have heard there is a revised part for this

I was just speaking to the V6. On the 2008, I have heard they are still plastic but are supposed to be better. Not sure on those.

So the V6 2009 Base model would still have "plastic coolant tube"?
what are the other things to look-out for in this model year?

thanks

No, The V6 does not have the plastic coolant pipes. I was referring to the V8. Sorry.

So I would like to do my 957, but nervous messing with the fuel rail for DFI, does anyone have to torque specs for all the things that come out?

Also how do I get the fuel out of there when things come apart?
