Do the coolant pipes in a 2008 CTT need to be addressed?

No- the 957 NA and TT has the upgraded aluminum pipes. There is a t-fitting that sometimes can fail, but it is not certain to happen.

If you are considering a 2008, be certain that you do your homework regarging bore scoring. The 2008- early 2009 seem to be the most prone to this issue. My 2008 succumbed to it...

Cheers,
Tom

The t-fitting mentioned failed in my 2008 CTT, though it was a leak so was easier to address. I had that replaced with a Porsche stainless steel (vs. plastic) fitting.

By mid-2008, the process had changed for how cylinders were finished, so there are a range of later 2008 blocks that are structurally honed and less prone to scoring, I believe.

The sticky at the top of the thread has tons of information for prospective buyers.
