Default Rim Rash

Well 20" Sport Techno Rims recieved some curb rash over the weekend. Are they easily repairable? Porsche dealer or Detail shop?

If the wheels are silver painted they are very easy to have fixed...will never know it happened.
I would go with the dealer unless you can find out who the dealer subs out for the job then call them directly (that's what I did)

Just as a point of reference, I pay $99 per rim for curb rash repairs her in WI. If I have a couple of wheels to repair, I usually talk him down to $150.

Knopf Porsche fixed my 19" wheel for $150 recently. I know where the mark was and can't even tell.

I know a local guy in Bucks County if anyone needs repair in the area...

Knopf? I have not been very happy with their work lately on an off-topic note

Is it possible to set up a Rennlist directory/registry of places used by RLers to get curb rash repaired or to get color-matched paint for an airgun for DIYs.

...for DIY:

http://guidetodetailing.com/articles.php?articleId=30

...just DON'T use Wurth Co. wheel care/paint products...it DOESN'T color match well silver wheel color...

...use 1Z Einszett Co. wheel paint instead...PORSCHE/Ferrari quality product and matches WELL.

...you need at least two their products:
1. primer

2. silver wheel paint

...more their products here...

Excellent idea. There is a place in Weymouth, MA called Tru-Wheel, that is very good.
