Just did second set of brake pads and rotors at 101k. All OEM. Got 51k out the last set of pads. Not bad at all.

spent two days under the p!g and did oil service, pads, rotors, sensors, brake flush, lower control arms (rear bushings cracked both sides), wheel bearings ,rebuilt axles ,alignment and front diff flush. All the crunch crunchy noises are gone. except now i think its time for ANOTHER cardan shaft as the knocking under the truck is starting again under hard accel.

Airbag light came on, diagnosed as a bad sensor in the passenger seat where nobody was sitting the last 8 months Back seat is used alot though..
Was a 4 hour job and total for the sensor replacement, including the sensor, was a smooth $659.- the sensor alone was $232.-
Not a DIY job as there is some calibration involved and removal of the airbag as I was told.
Second airbag issue in a little over a year.

They also diagnosed a rough idle and mentioned it was time to replace coil packs. I ordered them from Jeff Clark at Sunset with plugs. Will be doing the repir next week. BTW, the truck only has 19k, this will be the third set of coils.

All in all my favorite mech here in town defected back to another Denver dealer which they said they need to stay Mum about and my previous SA who actually had ***** to call and fight with Porsche about stupid crap defected as well.

Exciting times

'08 GTS 95K miles

(1) TPSM @ 20K i think

@95K

R/T rear fuel pump
High Pressure Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter

I'm not including maintenance work like brakes pads, plugs. All I can say is that the cars been trouble free up to now before the pump failure.

Warranty list up to 12/30/2010 attached.

Since then I've had I've had the track under the passenger headlight replaced and have had them look into an issue with my PCM. They couldn't "reproduce" the problem and conveniently are NOT responding to my email with 20 pictures, 5 pdfs and a COMPLETE narrative detailing the issue, when, how, my research, what I think it is, TSB numbers, etc.

ok, I have a question that maybe I am cross posting. I think I have a belt or water pump going out in the 06 base. had some horrific screaming noises front the front engine area. I am beliveing it could be both a water pump and the belt going at once.

Had a few low coolant level warnings fired off more than normal...........usually happens once a summer and I check levels and top off............this happened 3 times in the past 2 weeks for low coolant warning........so i believe the pump is failiing.

Which leads me to believe the water pump was failing and causing these other issues.

One other thing, I saw belts online for 60-75 bucks from pelican parts and suncoast.........called R Beasely Porsche dealer here in Austin, they told me 120 for the belt............and I was considering going to them but with that gouge play, not gonna happen. No sympathy for the devil.

I will have all of my other work completed while I am at a local owned shop...........
