question on install front side markers
Clear side markers just arrived, is there an easier way to install these front side markers? It looks like the front wheel well liner needs to come off.
Thanks,
Joseph

I ended up taking off the front wheel and un screwing most of the front part or the wheel liner to get enough room to bend back the wheel liner to unscrew the 2 places that hold the side marker.
The one screw on the top was difficult getting back in.
What a pain when you need to change a light bulb.

Try this link.

Plus search here on this forum too. You should not have to take the wheel off, and it should take about 10-15 minutes each side.

I took the wheel off and bent back the liner as well. Doing it without taking the wheel off would be near impossible IMHO. Also wonder if taking out the headlights would get you more access???

Flexible screwdriver is the key- I have done it on two Cayenne's. First one (no flex screwdriver) was a 2 hour PITA. Second, with flex screwdriver, 15 minutes per side (I did not take the wheels off either time...)

You can do it without a flexible torx driver. The top mount of the light is not a hole - it's open on one edge. Start the top screw with a few turns but leave a generous gap beneath the head of the screw. Twist the light around and slide the open edge of the mount onto the exposed shaft of the screw. Once it's engaged position the light properly. You can then reach in with your "non-flex" torx screwdriver and tighten the top screw the rest of the way.
