Three child seats in back?

Three child seats in back?
Considering a Cayenne but am getting mixed messages from salespeople. Have a 2 year old daughter now, hope to have a new baby in a year from now, then another 3 years from now.
Our current daughter 26# at two years age.
So, in 3 years, (with a 5yr old, 2 year old, and newborn) will we have to get another vehicle?
Otherwise, it's 2005 GX470 or XC90 V8 here we come.
Thanks!

to latch or not to latch...
The Cayenne only has two "ISOFIX," or latch," attachments; on the outer seats. But conventional car seats, even the older Porsche ones that you can get at claireparts.com for under $150 can easily be used because there are three full seatbelts in the rear. The only real difference in safety is that it will take you a tad bit longer to put in and take out the seat. My opinion: Get two latch seats for the outer seats and in the inside get a fairly thin profile conventional car seat, such as the Recaro child seats. Or, go for 3 of the recaro's because they look awesome. I don't reccomend the Lexus GX or the Volvo, I considered both as cheaper alternatives to the Cayenne S but they just can't compare.

I wouldn't recommend the Cayenne here.
I would go with a Ford Excursion (wife's current vehicle) or Expedition. Much better for families.

If you decide against the Cayenne, the Land rover LR 3 is the only way to go! Stadium seating so you can see the kid's in the third row better . Or Range Rover, if it's in your price range. I bent my back trying to decide between RR and the Cayenne, chose the pepper b\c of the fun drive.
I wanted to add this in though, it's a quote from Carbon_00 in an earlier post..."No third row, however you can get three car seats abreast if you get "Graco" seats whcih are narrow and without the adjustable base...Not sure of model , but have seen it done here..Go to a baby outfitter and find the narrow seat and try 3 in there..cheers"

3 seats will be pretty tight. While the Cayenne is an awesome SUV, interior space and cargo space (pack and play, diaper bag, formula, luggage) is not excessive. I have 2 kids still in car seats (5 and 7) and we have to take 2 cars on a 1 week vacation to bring everything. It is not impossible to make it work but I think you will be tight.

Speaking of vacations with kids, I spent about $1000 on the CS racks and cargo box ( looks sweet) to haul about $60 worth of toys to cottage...I should work for the government or something !!!

Here is some info from an experienced child-seat user, the user gjb, that I've been talking to through private messages.
"Also, we have two car seats in our back seat, and could fit a third no problem.
Issue is reaching in betweent the two seats and buckling up - can be a real hassle."
Hope this helps. I suggest driving all the cars on your list and considering what is most convenient for the kids and still fun to drive. For me, I think it would be Cayenne first, LR-3 second, GX-470 third, and then the Volvo. Good luck.

Dont think there is a need to install three child seats. I got rid of the child seat when my son was 4. I use a pillow (think you call it a booster seat in the US) and the standard seatbelt.

Use radian 60 four point seats until your kids are old and big enough for full boosters. Radians are narrow and will easily fit three across. They are also FAA approved if you fly much. When they qualify for boosters use recaro boosters again easy fit for three across. Also invest in seat belt extenders. Search on amazon. They extend the female side of seat belts up and past the car seats. So you don't have to destroy your knuckles each time you get the kids in and out.
I have three kids. 6 yo boy and 4 yo twin daughters. We never haul that much junk to run out of room.
They all fit in my c4s, pretty cool. I tried them in a cayenne as well even though I don't own one. Three across fit in 955 and 958. Just don't bring the kitchen sink with you.

In the 958.1 three Diono Radian r120 seats fit just fine. We run two r120 seats and have room for a passenger on one side. These are in forward facing configuration.
