The Vred's are an excellent tire. I have been through many a set. Used to run the ultrac sesstancia, which have been superseded, I think by the ones you refer to. Ran em down to unsafe levels with no unexpected issues. Check out tires-easy.com or -group a wheels.

Be very careful when looking into tires for Cayennes... the load rating for Cayenne tires is 30% to 50% higher than the load rating required for use on vehicles that can be 2000 pounds or more lighter than a Cayenne. The load rating should be close to 2000 pounds per tire to account for a Cayenne loaded with passengers and cargo. A trailer may stress the rears even more. Size alone does not guarantee safety. There are WAY too many stories of SUVs popping a tire for one reason or another (under-inflation is a common cause, but not the only cause) and flipping over or otherwise coming to a sudden stop.

Thanks. Yes, they are the correct load rating

FWIW, Im running a 103 load rating now, with a W speed rating. This translates to 1929# per wheel. @ Around 5400 lbs total weight these should be enough for my pig. Im already getting some deformation. With a few trips to about 160mph. Its obvious to me that these arent working.

I think the correct load and speed rating to be used is 107y. I will probably go back to the Vred's.

Fwiw, I was running 295/40 R20 110XL in Y speed rating on 10x20 sport technos all around. They were extremely solid at very high speeds - took them up to 305kmh per GPS and the 110 XL load index is just right for the pig especially when driven hard. All the tires I buy are 110XL.

I don't have anything in 21", 20" is for both of my pigs summer and winter.
And I run q7 size - 275/45 20 and 295/40 20. The speedo is spot on and extra sidewall is nice while driving down forrest roads. .

Those Vreds look like an interesting option -- tread pattern (lots of sipes) looks like it would do well in wet/snow. Thanks for posting.

FWIW, I've been very happy with Yokohama Parada Spec X in the 275/40-20 size on my 06 CTT. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...romSurvey=true

As best I can tell, the Paradas are the Poor Man's Conti DWS. Relative to the DWS, their cons include being rated for only 149 mph sustained speeds and not having any mileage warranty. I can vouch that they are quiet and comfortable and do very well in both the dry and wet, and have very good hydroplaning resistance (occasionally lots of water here in Houston). I don't have first-hand snow experience, but they are M+S rated and the consumer ratings are pretty decent. I'm on my second set of Paradas on the Pig and also put them on my wife's Mercedes GL450 (replacing the dreadful, factory spec Pirelli Scropion Verdes which get squirrelly in the wet when the tread is worn 50%).

Good luck.

I agree on the sipes for snow....that's what drew me in since i am in the Northeast.

The DWS have far more reviews and first hand experience from a bunch of folks here. But, they look very interesting and I am very tempted.
