Default Cabin Filter Part Number

Hi. I did a quick search and didn't find anything, so I thought I'd share this.
I found the Porsche part number for the cabin filter: 95557221910.
From that I found the OEM Mahle part number, LAK 182.
And from that I found a charcoal filter on ebay for $10 with free shipping. Supposed to also fit Volkswagen Touaregs.
I'll let you know if it fits ok... sorry if this is old news...

I have been using this one:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...or-95557221910

With FCP's lifetime replacement it didn't seem like a bad deal to me.

Have you tried returning it for replacement when it's used up? Just curious.. I don't see a lot of value in a lifetime warranty on an item that never breaks..

In my old 7’s the cabin filter was basically a frame that you could repack with filter element stuff, so you could buy a big sheet of filter material from the Home Depot and cut out a square at a time over the course of years. The outside air filters were under the hood and were specialized and charloal. One filter inside seems like a good idea.

Not yet, but I am probably due and will give it a try to let you guys know how it goes. FCPeuro has changed their policy that they will now accept ANY item they sold back and ship a free replacement (without shipping charges even) with no questions asked. This even includes preposterously consumable things like oil, wiper blades, and yes, all filters. I have ordered thousands and thousands of dollars of parts from them between our various swedish and german machines, so as a loyal customer I am happy to try it out. I don't think I will go as far as trying to ship fluids back as they have indicated some do in the video posted in the thread below, but for a few parts here and there the hassle may make sense to me.

There are multiple threads on other enthusiast message boards where they follow up to validate this. Check this out:

Here is a link directly to one of their explanation videos if you want to skip all the content in the thread and go straight to the source:
