Default Reliving my 06S - finding another.

House fire at my winter weekend place back in 2012 took my 2006 Cayenne from me .. two other vehicles as well. Anyway, the house is still not back together .. but should be by the end of this year. I moved overseas for a while .... now in NYC as well. The house is in snow country and I was thinking of getting another Cayenne for the garage ... finding a decent one is not easy !! My 06 S was not highly optioned -- black/black w/ black trim - sunroof/xenons -- it had the heated sport seats and heated/ power steering wheel No Nav or air suspension. I bought it new and only drove it 6-8k a year ... think it had 48k on it. I'm sure this subject is beaten to death .. but where to look ?? Want an S or would consider a Turbo ... Ideally under 80k ... lower would be better. I'm also on the lookout for similar aged 911 ... replace my 996tt. Strictly "extra" cars that will get very few miles ... willing to pay for a nice one. I did see a nice Cayenne turbo for 15k .. but It had 90k on it??

Hmm, I bet he won’t take $10k.

Thanks for the plug though! As mentioned in the ad, I’d consider an offer under my already low asking, but I keep Sport Technos.

If OP wants to fully "relive" the 955.... by all means get a 2006 Turbo, It's essentially 40% more car.... for nearly the same money.

Not just saying this because my S is for sale, but I enjoy the drive in the S far more than the Turbo. The non-air suspension seems more in tune with the road, even on sport setting in the Turbo. The naturally aspirated power seems more sports-car-ish. Non-nav Blaupunkt-style head unit just seems right in a Porsche. Throw a set of high performance tires on her, and you forget you're in an SUV.

It's the intersection of dad-life and pure joy of driving. The S is the absolute most fun you can have for 10-15k bucks, and still have room for a couple kids and associated crap.
