Looking for installer recommendations to clear bra my 2016 Cayenne as close to Colts Neck NJ as possible. Full hood, lights, fenders, bumper, mirrors. If anyone had it done, please share the price and materials used.

Thanks

5 minutes from Colts Neck. I didn't have a full job done. I had him put film on my headlights to protect the lenses from the usual fogging. My car already had a full front clear coat on it. He did a great job covering the lens' (if you weren't told it was there you'd never know..). He also cleaned up some sloppy work that had been done on the original clear-bra that was installed on the car by the first owner. He has the complete computer template for our cars so I don't think it would be a problem to do. I'd suggest XPEL since it seems to get great reviews. Parts of mine really need replacement - the film is starting to yellow a bit (noticeable on a white Cayenne), I'd be interested in the prices you get from him.

Searches also show him at: https://www.yelp.com/biz/clear-cut-v...s-tinton-falls - but I think that was a prior location for him. He seems to do a lot of the advertising films on fleet trucks/cars.

Clear Bra installation is a craft that requires a certain level of skill for it to come out right. Although a little further away, Phil and his team at Detailers Domain does a fantastic job. www.detailersdomain.com

Default Clear Bra.... NO!

I don't recommend it. The 3M Clear Bra Mylar gets seriously ugly under UV exposure after a few years.... looking WORSE than peeling clear coating itself. I paid $300 just to remove it. Just do a proper paint correction every 4-5 years...

Paint correction does nothing for the rock chips.. and as miserable as NJ roads are - rock chips are rampant in our area. I realize Porsche paint is much better that way than BMW paint (which chips if you look at it hard), but since in NJ you can't keep a reasonable following distance (because someone sees that space as an opportunity to turn in front of you), I'd rather have to replace the clear-bra every 5 years than have the nose repainted due to rock chips. I suspect the cost about evens out.
