Is this how a Cayenne Turbo should sound (vid link)
Hi everyone - am shopping for a cayenne turbo to keep my 996 company. Found one, but hearing a high pitched fast ticking from the engine with the hood up - is it normal for a cayenne turbo to sound like this, or am I being overly paranoid? Love the power, can use the space as a daily workhorse.
Been reading up on usual problems - eg shaft bearings, bore scoring, airbags etc and hoping this noise isn't anything to worry about. Certainly don't hear any knocking going on. I'd want a prepurchase inspection, but the car is at a dealer so only a mobile inspection will work, and I doubt there's many mobile cayenne specialists in my area.
