Default Tires best all around?

I bought my 2008 Turbo with 21 inch wheels two years ago with some no name tires. They won't wear out but ride like crap. What is the best all purpose tire. I don't off road but want to be safe if I'm in light snow unexpectedly.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde - great all season - I drove in Chicago summer and in Vail in winter after 2ft of snow overnight.

Continental DWS, they are fine with light snow. I run Blizzaks when the snow really starts falling in Western NY.

I agree with the Continental DWS tires... decent tread wear, good predictable traction with good feedback from the pavement, good at telegraphing how close you are to using all the available grip. Decent in rain and light snow. Quiet riding, comfortable riding (sidewalls not TOO stiff).

Running those on stock 18" rims and no issues wet or dry here at all.

Another vote here for Conti DWS. Had them on my Audi in Chicago and did fine in all sorts of snow/slush/ice. I plan on mounting them as my next set.

Currently running Hankook ST's - great for wet and dry, the sidewall is a bit soft, getting louder as they wear down. It is an all-season rubber but not recommended for snow use per Hankook - and from personal experience.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8s are the best winter snow/ice tire we have ever had. A lot to say about them one are the studs, they are shaped like a Parallelogram. The front tooth bites and the shoulders provide stability. Rubber compound, tread design, number of studs, a lot to like. Have used them around town and on a winter road trip north of the Arctic Circle. Nokian has been making tires for more than 80 years and has a new North American warehouse.
Here is a video review of the new Hakkapeliitta 9 -
