Default RennFax - Addison, IL 2006 Cayenne Turbo S

Hi Friends,

Wondering if someone local to Addison, IL can pop over and take a look at a 2006 Cayenne I am interested in (it's down to 3!! this is one of them). Or recommend a mobile mechanic in the area. Happy to compensate you for your time. Feel free to PM me if interested.

Cheers!

Get this one instead. 165k is the threshold where things can seriously go wrong. This is a black, 115k/mi CTTS with everything...

hey thanks for the heads up!

Main reason looking at the 165k mile truck is due to the extensive maintence history and being owned by a Porsche tech. The black one is nice but no maintence history and looks like an accident as well.

not particular to IL as I am texas, just looking for a clean well taken car truck.

I got my 2008 CTT from Addison IL, place called XL auto..... second day of ownership noticed it had a scored cylinder. Dealer told me to go F My self and I did it... so I would stay away from them. They seems to have a few CTT.

I'd say all those Northern Latitude CTTs will have some form of cylinder scoring. Mine only spent 1/2 freezing winter in Chicago, during it's initial break-in miles.... and still got it. Find a warm weather CTT completely virgin to cold temps. This one is a 100% Southern California car, and local to me:

Pass on XL auto one - I was wondering why they would go into great length bragging about car history - cause sounds like it's a fishy place

I bought mine from a dealer in IL, different city but about 30 mins outside of Chicago. About $4000 later it is now great, but they are all shady. They said they’d help pay for getting the stuff fixed but then they quit taking my calls and everything else. I doubt I will ever buy anything from a used dealer ever again. Private party only.

The ad for the Turbo S states a 30 day return guarantee. Did the ad for yours mention the same?

Yes something similar. But they stalled me and stalled me until I was 800 miles away and the time was up. Boss was out of town. Needed estimates for all the work. Needed approval. Needed their mechanic to look through the estimate yada yada. I even told them I knew what they were doing but they continued to play me. Then I asked if I could return it and get something else they had in stock, and they said “well we can only give you trade in value for it.” I was dumbfounded. Crooks.

Oh it did.. still told me to go f myself. I guess once they saw the cost to fix they didn't want it back. Have to take them to court ect... their is even a law 15 days 500 miles no power train issues on used cars in that state... I'm waiting for the attorney general of IL to get back to me..... unfortunately I would have to pay for lawyer (if the attorney general does nothing) might as well just put the lawyer money towards a new motor plus it will take months.... they said I damaged the motor from racing..... so they will not accept it back. Check engine light was cleared for 02 sensor MIL status unready....

Small claims sounds better than nothing and pretty much a sure thing in your favor. You even have a lot of date stamped proof right in this forum. The $10,000 IL maximum can go a long way towards repairs.
