Cayenne Recall 2003-06
Porsche is finally stepping up to the plate for the problem with the fuel filters on the 955s. I'm contacting my dealer to seek reimbursement for paying to have my fuel filters replaced. See attachment for details.

I have a feeling this may turn into one of those "while we were in there, this broke, that broke and this also needs to be replaced because it's corroded." Here's your bill for $1,500.00.

Probably EVERY one have *something* that is no longer working at 100% with a charge for both the diagnosis and fix.
And while you are waiting, perhaps the salesman will interest you in something coming off lease. . .

One sentence says that, "Authorized Porsche dealers will replace the fuel filter flange on affected vehicle at no charge."
The last sentence reads, "There are 50,145 affected vehicles."
Seems to imply that that they plan to replace all 50,145 fuel filter flanges.
"And oh, while we're in there..."

Looks like my 04 CTT is not one of the 50,145.

I was running a leaking fuel filter flange, on my last big trip. People on the road was telling me a drizzle of fuel was streaming from the muffler area. It stunk up the road. Porsche finally realizes a massive fire hazard. No need to "create damage" to the fuel filter flange. The dealer still needs to inspect for those hairline cracks. Get yours IN now...

My '06 CTT is also not listed, but I have been noticing fuel smells the last few weeks. Actually had them check for it on the last service visit three weeks ago.

I don't think this recall is in the NHTSA website's system yet. I plugged my VIN in also and it came up with no recalls. But, just for giggles, I plugged in 2006 Porsche Cayenne and it showed 0 recalls for that model. 2005 had 1 recall, but it was for child safety restraints. 2004 had 6 recalls, but again, none were this recall.
