GUMOUT REGANE.....$3.47 at Walmart. I add it every 4-6 tankfuls. So cheap and effective - I buy it by the six-pack.

Mine now shows up on the recall list from NHTSA. Contact Porsche of Steven's Creek where my Cayenne has always been serviced for next steps.

Mine smells like gas and the dealer says that the recall isn't going to happen anytime soon

When someone gets word that the part is in, can they let us know? I spoke with my dealer and they said that Porsche would "find me" then send me a notification that I can then bring to them, and if they had the part they would fix it.

is it just the fuel flange? If so, I actually ordered one months ago and it's sitting in my car...

Return the fuel flange so that the dealer has it in-stock. Then request that they perform the recall

cheers,

Finally got my letter saying that it will happen eventually (not soon). Is the filter part of the new flange? IE: will we get a new filter out of this recall once it eventually happens?

cheers,
c

Got my letter today, but parts are not available. Wonder what Porsche will do if one of our cars burns to the ground while parts aren't available?

I'm getting a "don't hold your breath" vibe from the dealer. Sounds like early to mid 2018.

cheers,

Just looked up my 04 Base, it is on the recall list but I don't have a letter. Car has never smelled like gas though so I"m not too concerned but would like to get it done. Being that it is in the body shop after being rear-ended last week this might be a good time to have it done while they're checking other stuff. What if you don't receive a letter?

I had to call PCNA to register my car, sending in the postcard apparently didn't work. They required a scan of either the title or registration to verify ownership. About 3 weeks later, I got my letter saying that someday the recall would be performed on my car.

cheers,
c

Oh ok, thanks. Did everyone that received a letter have to do that? I figured they would just mail them based on the DMV database.
