2008 Cayenne Turbo - PDCC Rear Line Burst
Hey all,
Was driving home today and about 1/2 mile from my house after taking a hard left turn I heard a loud popping sound followed by the "Warning Chassis System" message. I got home and parked the car and saw fluid dripping out the rear. At this point I knew it was PDCC related. This is what I found...
I don't really understand how it could have burst considering its not touching anything. Odd.
I would like to know where I can purchase (both) of these rear lines. I tried looking online but can't seem to locate a parts catalog anywhere.
Also any tricks or tips into replacing these lines and procedures to follow would be greatly appreciated, I will continue to search for answers.

Porsche identifies this as a stabilizer pressure line.
Follow this link to just one of many parts suppliers

There have been reports of PDCC components failing. One aspect of owning a Cayenne.

Don't even start it if you lost oil.
If you don't, you manage replace the lines and bleed the system, your tamdem pump *might* still be working.
I had to drive the car and had to refurb / replace the PDCC / servo pump. Not really cheap FYI.

Anyway to know if the pump is still good? It was still dripping out fluid by the time I got home, luckily I was pretty much already home when it happened.

I have no idea, but if you cover the hole temporarily with a stainless steel screw tie (not sure if that's the correct name for it, I mean this : http://www.autodily-online.cz/soubor...1/sk_pasek.jpg ) it should work. Then again, your pump might already be shot.

Sorry for your loss!
How many miles? What kind of climate do you live in?
Possible road debris hit it?

Follow up post,
Replaced both rear PDCC lines. It appears Porsche at some point in time revised these lines as the ones I received were no longer steel braided but very tough thick rubber for hydraulic systems. Much more confident inspiring. Had to drop the exhaust muffler down as well as the sway bar itself in order to have the proper clearance. Definitely recommend having a friend help with this job if you are a DIY'er.
Test drove last night and this morning. Everything seems to be fine. I don't have the program to perform the bleeding procedure so I would top off the reservoir, drive around for a little bit and pull over and top it off again until all the little air bubbles were gone. I will continue to monitor the PDCC reservoir for the next couple of days.
Will update if need be.

exact same line burst on mine also. 135k NE salt area
the line in superceded with a "better" one like you mentions.
You do have to bleed it a few times to get all the bubbles out. Must make sure you have enough pentosin
