09 CTTS. Is there a way to remove the warning at the top of the backup video screen that says "PAY ATTENTION TO VEHICLE SURROUNDINGS"? The warning has a dark gray background that obscures the view in that portion of the video screen. I am assuming this message is built into the PCM, as I swapped in a new backup camera and the warning message is still there. Just getting rid of the dark gray background would help even if the text stays. Thanks.

In the 2011, tapping the message makes it go away. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to disable it permanently.

Thanks for the suggestion. My 2009 has a touch screen but tapping the message didn't work. I tried the "option" button but my only settings are to change the picture quality.
