I want to throw a set of those turbos and exhaust manifolds into my shopping cart. What site did those come from again LOL?

Coils and plugs- beru and NGK reg PLAT from Oreillys.
Water pump is a Laso and I think it was FCP Euro or Autohaus AZ.

Am I being trolled? Lol

Are there any documented builds that you know of running that much boost on these engines? What do you expect to be the weakest link? I know on the 996 Turbo Mezgers, the rods will be the first to go.

Right!
Turbos are easy, the manifolds........meh.
I'm working on a solution that would involve having each manifold cnc'd in 3 parts plus the flange. That would bring the # of welds on each down to around 6-8 and reduce fabrication by 85%.

Gotta prove they work and hold up first!

Not that I could find. This engine is built so I would expect the block to be subject to cracking or heads lifting.

I'm currently building a dual 3" stainless exhaust with a single x pipe and dynomax stainless ultraflow mufflers.

25', 3', 304 stainless, brushed .065 wall tubing sourced locally from a supplier in ATX = 150$
4 hangers = 45$ on ebay
2 mufflers from Jegs on price match = 130$
2 Marmon Flanges from gbe mandrel on EBay = 70$
3-125cf bottles of argon locally = 150$
I'm in preparation for an alignment, inspection and registration then I can get you guys and gals some video of this beast driving.

When I was experimenting with an xpipe, I had it ditched eventually.
Top end power and sound was way better without xpipe.

Interesting.....
I have wondered about the lack of benefit on a turbo engine seeing as the turbine negates the pulses. Honestly, I did it more for a structural element and thought it may smooth the sound a bit. This thing sounds quite a bit different already so I hope that I don't experience any ill effects.

Then don't do it. I had my exhaust guy do a connecting piece to strenghten the pipes once the xpipe was ditched. Sounded great on my friends' NA 4.5S but droned horrible in high revs on a TT engine

It's already done! I am going to have to run with it. Since I make all my bends with pie cuts and not pre bent mandrel sections it's too much work! I do have the open downpipe video and I can do a video with the X and no mufflers for a comparo. A lot of drone comes from muffler selection and getting those tips ALL the way out to the edge of the Valence from my experience. Which mufflers are you running?

Aha.
I've got all custom made, it's pretty much a straight pipe. Catless downpipe, then a set of high flow 100-cell race cats and then it's straight all the way to the end, rear mufflers just look big to pass visual inspection but are just a pipe with holes and filled with some special filling (the guy that did them has ample race exhaust ecperience, did the exhaust for the Praga r1 for example).

The x pipe on exhaust variation number one was my requirement. I had to admit he was right not to do it.

Have a look at how https://www.unobtainium.ca/store/p3/..._Exhausts.html builds their 996 Turbo x-pipes. They use a Helmholts resonator which completely eliminates drone. Not sure if you guys know about this. Apparently it's the number one exhaust for that platform. Best sound, no drone.
