Default Cayenne "step in height"

I'm interested in shopping for a used 2008 or 2009 Cayenne but my wife has a condition that limits her ability to raise her left leg. Does anyone know the distance between the ground and the top of the door sill on 08/09 Base Cayennes? The distance from the ground to the top front edge of the seat cushion would also be helpful.

I'd get these measurements myself but I live in a rural area where there aren't any Cayennes for sale.

I do not have the measurements, but recommend that you look for a Cayenne with air suspension. They have the ability to be lowered to 'loading level' which makes a significant different in the ease of ingress and egress. If you don't mind a more jarring ride and getting the alignment adjusted, there are options to either program or install a controller to make them operate at even lower heights when parked or while driving.

At the loading level my 90 yo Mom could easily sit in the seat and swing her legs in. It was also easily swing the out then stand up. Did the calibration thing lowering the air suspension another 35mm and had to use the low level height, the loading level was too low for her and she is not a tall woman.

I'm not in a position to do any measurements at the moment.

Give me a couple days and I will get the actual heights for a 955.

Unless someone beats me to it.

Here you go:

For an 05 955 Turbo (air suspension). AFAIK, 957 & 955 have essentially the same body.
Seat height is passenger seat, as low as it goes. Floor height is the passenger side floor and sill height. Measured with a straight edge across the seat and across the floor to the ground outside.

Normal level: Seat 29" Floor 17"
Low level: Seat 28" Floor 16"
Loading level Seat 26.5" Floor 14.5"

I think a base with steel spring suspension would be 'normal' level. Someone who really knows may correct that if I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Joe, this is great. If the base measurements match your measurements for the comfort level on your Turbo I think we're in business since that's a little lower than our RX330 which she struggles with. It's also helpful that the Cayenne sill is the same height as the floor which makes it easier for her to slide in and out.
