Later abs sensor on older system
A friend has fitted 997S uprights and calipers to his 986 which is an early 2.5
the abs sensors are different. I've done the same thing to my 02 S and the 997S sensors worked with my abs system.
His don't. I suspect his car being older has passive style wheel speed sensors working off a toothed wheel...whereas later cars run active sensors and a magnetic ring in the bearing.
Is there a simple fix to this?
