Default Best option to massively enhance 993 engine?

Has anyone done this and tracked it? A little background.

95 993 NA. True dual use street and Red level DE. I don't race. MCS suspension, regeared and LSD added, 70k miles.

I'm exploring options ranging from do nothing to getting a newer car, but one on the table is beefing up the 993. I'm tired of all the new hardware on the track dusting me despite what I believe is good driving.

So, what are options to safely and reliably and without having to constantly wrench/tweak it, get 4-500 HP?

I briefly considered the Protomotive Stage 1 bolt on, but nixed due to track duty. I'm researching Stage 2. But what else should I consider?

I know a great solution would be a GT3 but I need a legal back seat for my family trips.

Thanks

you are not going to see 500hp with a 993 base unless you go non-NA

400hp at crank will cost you $$

im hoping to get there by going to a 3.8 with RSR pistons, hot cam, RSR valves, port work, racing springs, boat tailed block, piston squirters, upgraded head studs and racing bearings.

itbs with fuel injection and coil paks with motec ecu.

it would be cheaper to go 996 turbo and gut it.

Agree on the 996tt idea. I've done it twice now, pretty solid platform and LOADs of aftermarket!

Been chatting with Steve and the 996 is a no go as I just can't stand them visually.

I have a fresh set of Dougherty RS grind cams ( never installed ) , specific for a 95 3.6 that i won't be installing in my car ...
My 89 911 has a 95 3.6 in it but is being returned to street useage and i will not be installing the cams as
i prefer to thrash around a 944 SP2 car, let me know if you have an interest.
Haven't posted them for sale anywhere, just have no use for them at this time.

I'm not a fan of 996's aesthetically either, but the 996TT in the later years in the right color (black, dark blue, silver) are starting to look good to me.

Maybe give a another look.

I went through the same decision process. Since you already re-geared, you've made the best upgrade for a 993. I also did that, with the Motons and the LSD. They are really fun cars to drive, but are relatively slow. Stay away from supercharging...they don't last.

Then I went with a 996 GT3. HUGELY (sic) faster, same visceral feel. Once you drive one, the looks become less important. You can add seats to the rear. Another option is a 997.2 Carrera. They are a lot of car for the money.

Good Luck.
