996 Custom Exhaust
I read a lot of posts about you folks spending upwards of $4,000 on off-the-shelf exhausts. Just like your suits, your exhausts should be custom.
Weight savings are in the 40 lb range. Could be more if I had gone aluminum (which is also cheaper).
It sounds ok.
Total cost was $1,000 - as I said before, would have cost less and weighed more with aluminum but my last aluminum exhaust failed . . . . probably due to the 1700-1800 degree EGTs from the rotary, but I wanted to play it safe this time around.

The car is definitely faster - I'm not sure if it's from reduced weight, power gain, or both.
Everyone who I've given a ride to in the car has come away saying they now want a 996.
It sounds like **** in low revs but once you're over 4,000 it's glorious.
