Default ECU Flash

I have a 2009 C2S (6 speed) which I have owned since 2012. To date the only mod I have done is a SharkWerks center muffler delete. I am looking to add a few more HP and the speed shop that I have my service done at has told me that best bang for the buck would be to do an ECU flash. Before I invest in this modification I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. Did it make a noticeable difference for your P car? Any concerns or issues?

Thank you in advance.

If ypur going to do a remap i would advice you put a k and n air filter on plus a sport exhaust otherwise you might need to remap again when you change them!

I would call one of the reputable shops that work on this engine like BGB http://www.teambgb.com/about_team.asp or BBI http://bbiautosport.com/new/ and ask them for their recommendation.

I did the ECU remapping on my 08 997. Does wonders to the throttle response in 3rd and 4th gear. I would do it again in a heartbeat...cheap HP.

I would make sure that you get any "hardware" upgrades out of the way before you do an ECU. An ECU tune will do wonders, that's true. However, if you do an ECU tune and then down the road you want to add headers with high flow cats, now you would want to re-tune the ECU to really get the best performance out of it.

If you are thinking of doing headers, intake, mufflers etc, do that before the ECU. Save the ECU for last to take full advantage of the other bolt on upgrades that you have.
