Default First Mod for my C4S

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here on rennlist.

I own a '06 997.1 Carrera 4S on camel/tan interior. The car is completely stock, never changed from an OEM part... just K&N Oil and Air Filters.

I am looking forward to doing a little mod maybe an air intake or an ECU tune? not anything expensive just something to get a little extra horsepower not looking for big gains maybe 10 - 15 bhp. So what do you guys recommend?

Thanks,
Zaid

I track my 996 C4S frequently, but have still retained it as a Daily Driver.
The modifications I've made have greatly enhanced the performance of the car, with minimal discomfort to daily use.

1) IMS Bearing is the LATEST version, as in the 997.1
The engine was replaced by Porsche in 2008, before I bought the car!
Proactively, the IMS Guardian was installed.

2) RMS SEAL was changed with a new clutch.

3) Water pump changed.

4) Brake fluid flushed and replaced with BLUE annually.

5) Stainless steel brake lines installed

6) H&R lowering springs

7) IPD intake Plenum

8) K&N cold air filter

9) X collector exhaust - 200 cell catalytic converter

10) EVOMS ECU optimization - 'Flash'

11) LN Engineering 1 Qt. Deep oil sump kit and X51 Oil Baffle

12) Pagid race brake pads

13) B&N Short Shifter Lever

14) New aluminum wheels.

15) Genuine Porsche GT3 race seat.

16) Tarett Engineering Sway Bars and Drop Links

I have stopped short of installing of a roll cage!

This car is a pure delight, and I have difficulty rationalizing the purchase of a newer model, though a 2012 GTS is appealing!

Beautiful car!

I have a set of lightweight forged wheels for sale that are designed for 997 WB fitment, if you are interested.
