S4 brake upgrade for 930?????
I am looking at the 928 S4 front caliper conversion on my turbolook. Am I correct in thinking to replace the stock rear calipers with the removed 930 front calipers. Will I need bias control?? Thanks for your input. Wayne

If you put the fronts on the back , yes!!
Several ques. come to mind
What rotors are you planning on using f/r?
what is the car used for?
what current issue are you trying to address?
lsd?
suspension mods?
subject to your ans. to the above, the usual route for S4 calipers on stock front rotors is either 964t, 964RS or 993 rear calipers on stock 28x309 930 rotors. no p/v
but there are other combinations that work as well/

No, the front calipers pistons are too big and the caliper itself wants a 32mm rotor, not the 28 that is oem.

front rotors will be 993 TT, rear rotors stock 930
Car sees track dutyPCA & PBOC- SSolo
Currently out braked by GT3 units, want more brake and brake control
lsd g50 C gears. Rear coilovers, front torsion

S4 calipers are essentially the same as 993 or 964RS front calipers. You can use them on 322x32 993tt rotrs but, the Big Red(993tt caliper) is a better choice.
if you are sticking w/ 930 rear rotors then 965 rear calipers are the best choice, 993 next best(they need more work to get them to work)
Another possibility is 993tt front calipers and rotor and 993RS rear caliper and rotor. This works well w/ an effective lsd and sticky rear tires which you appear to have. An adjustable p/v would probably be needed w/ this set up
As long as the tires can take it, more brake torque can be had w / either 330mm 993GT2 rotors or aftermarket Brembo kits w/ 330-355mm rotors.
Most of the time tires will be the limiting factor in a single stop, the bigger rotors are more for endurance but do provide more torque
Another thing to consider is pads, they all don't have the same performance curves wrt temp and pressure and rotor speed.
