After Market Exhaust - 2001 996
I am interested in purchasing an after market sport exhaust for my 2001 996. What should ai be considering? I am looking for sound and performance, but nothing over the top.
Thanks,
Mitchell

Search for information in the 996 forum. I am running a Monty, which sounds OK. Fabspeed sounds good, but too loud for some folks. I bought a SuperSprint, but found it too quiet.

Hi,
I have a set of Fabspeed MaxFlo SS exhaust for sale. I'm asking $750 shipped. Muffler was used for about 2K miles.

I'm selling my 996 3.4L Europipe exhaust. Very classy sound. NOT loud, though my secretary could tell when I arrived, which surprised me. The first 1,000 miles they sounded stock, then they mellowed and sounded cool, though again, not loud. They are about 2,000 miles old, purchased 3-22-05 My engine was destroyed by a coolant leak in 2006, and I have replaced it with a 997S 3.8L engine and Europipe exhaust. I went with Europipe again because my satisfaction with the build quality, etc. of the set I'm selling. They're stainless, with tips, and should last a LONG time, though I don't think I have a warranty on them now. It took almost a year to get the new engine in. The exhaust, of course, wasn't used then. New they cost me $1970. I'm asking $900 plus shipping, or best offer within reason. here's a photo http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/99...2513_copy3.jpg
The tips can be polished to "like new", though they're not bad now, just not concours.
