RS America suspension mods
hi all!
am doing some pca class d racing and trying to decide what to do with the suspension within reason/budget. i have heard advice ranging from full monoball/coilover to just lowered with bilstein sports to full cup/rsr(whatever that exactly entails?).
help! please respond with your experience/recommendations....

Certainly your budget and overall usage of this car will determine what you ultimately choose.
We have several clients that race these cars in PCA rather successfully and their chassis setup ranges something like this:
1) Bilstein HD struts/shocks with H&R Sport springs and Carrera RS adjustable swaybars in 25mm/22mm.
2) Bilstein RSR struts/shocks with custom dual springs & same swaybar package as above. All suspension pivots in spherical bearings and monoball/camber plates at the tops of the struts and shocks.
3) JRZ or Moton double adjustable dampers with custom dual springs and same swaybar and spherical bearing setup as outlined above.
The top selection is very streetable for those with dual purpose cars. Some cars have a roll cage and all have a strut brace, welded or bolt-in.
These suspension systems do vary quite bit in price and performance so you need to determine what you wish to do and how you use your RSA.
Hope this helps,
