I had the Evolution on my 02 996 and it was perfect. Good sound & noticeable power increase.

I have a K&N on my 02'. I've never had an issue and I gained 22 hp at the wheels (about 25 flywheel hp) from the K&N 63-series intake and a pair of Fabspeed mufflers. i can't get anyone to show an independant dyno sheet, so I don't know if you will get the same with the EVO.

Never had an issue with the K&N and its been on the car since May 06'. Keep in mind that the MAF was change in 02' to the 00'+ Boxster MAF. The new MAF has a different range and flow path. The MAF issues with intakes are predominately related to the earlier MAF on the 99-01' cars.

No issues on my 2002 C2 either. It has been a blast. Great sound at 3K RPM. Net HP gain at mid-range only, so don't think that it brings 320 HP up to 342...
